Respite bath

Project: With teenage daughters seizing the main bath, the owners needed their own place of respite: a new master bathroom carved out of an existing closet area, more than doubling the simultaneous “getting ready” capacity and transforming their bedroom into a retreat.

What’s with the hula girl: Initially, the owner said (with a smile and a sideways glance to his wife) that he didn’t care about any aspect of the project as long as he could include a hula girl in the finished space.  That way, master suite = vacation, sort of.  When I came back to photograph the finished project, the hula girl was standing on the shelf.
